The 14th CRC Selection Round (2011) outcomes announced 22/11/2011

The Innovation Minister, Kim Carr, announced the outcome of the 14th CRC selection round on 22 November 2011.

The six successful CRCs are: 
  • Plant Biosecurity CRC
  • Invasive Animals CRC
  • CRC for Low Carbon Living
  • Automotive Australia 2020 CRC (AA2020CRC)
  • CRC for Water Sensitive Cities
  • CRC for Polymers
Further details on successful applicants are available on an information fact sheet at the CRC website.
The CRC for Low Carbon Living and the CRC for Water Sensitive Cities are new CRCs, the other four are continuations of existing CRCs.

Stage 1 assessment outcomes


Stage 1 of the assessment process for the 14th CRC program  selection round is now complete. A total
of 10 applications have been invited to  Stage 2.


Applications invited to Stage 2 are: 
  • Plant Biosecurity CRC
  • Sustainable Heritage and Responsible Development (SHaReD) CRC
  • Invasive Animals CRC
  • The CRC for Low Carbon Living
  • CRC for Living with Autism Spectrum Disorders
  • Automotive Australia 2020 CRC (AA2020CRC)
  • CRC for Water Sensitive Cities
  • CAST CRC
  • CRC for Polymers
  • Designing Better Cities and Regional Centres CRC

The dates provided below are indicative only and subject to change.

February 2011 - Information sessions held in major capital cities
28 February 2011 - CRC Online available for lodgement of applications
1 July 2011 - Applications close
September 2011 - Research projects proposals due
7 to 9 November 2011 - Interviews held in Canberra
December 2011 - Announcement of successful applications
1 July 2012 - CRCs successful in the 14th Selection Round commence operations

Applications for the 14th CRC Program Selection Round close on 1 July 2011. On 4 November 2010 the Minister announced the priorities for the 14th Selection Round: social innovation, sustainable regional communities and clean manufacturing (as part of the Government’s Clean 21 initiative).

Successful new CRCs from Rd13 announced 04/01/2011

The Minister announced the outcome of the 13th CRC selection round on 9 December 2010.

Successful CRCs
- CRC for Contamination Assessment and Remediation of the Environment
- CRC for High Integrity Australian Pork
- CRC for Mental Health
- CRC for Young People, Technology and Wellbeing
These CRCs will commence operating on 1 July 2011. Further details on successful applicants are available on an information fact sheet
